Stork Insurance

Stork Insurance, or Birth Control as it’s called outside the walls of the S.O.D.S, is your best bet if you are trying to avoid an unexpected delivery. It’s a simple investment that helps take you off the Stork’s baby radar.

The choices are many! To find the method that is the best option for you, answer a few questions to Get A Quote or  Find a clinic location near you.

Keep in mind, you can’t expect Stork Insurance to work if you don’t use it correctly and consistently. To help you, the S.O.D.S. R&D Department has listed the effectiveness for each birth control method. The low number shows the effectiveness when you don’t use it correctly every time and the high number shows the effectiveness when you use it as directed. Read the instructions or consult a health care provider. We know, instructions can be complicated, but so is an unexpected delivery. Don’t ask the Stork for help with that. It’s outside the job description.

When using certain types of Stork Insurance, there can be side effects and risks. To learn more about common side effects, visit our FAQs and talk to a health care provider.

Hormonal Birth Control Methods

Releasing hormones into the bloodstream prevents an unexpected delivery by stopping the egg from leaving its ovarian home and becoming fertilized by sperm that refuse to understand personal space. Some hormones let the egg release from the ovaries but prevents the womb from becoming a perfect home and alerting the Stork of your location.

It’s a trusty form of Stork Insurance but unfortunately won’t protect you against Package Problems
(Sexually Transmitted Infections or STIs). All the methods of hormonal birth control require a prescription AND backup Stork Insurance, like a condom, when you first start using a hormonal birth control.

Non-hormonal / Barrier Birth Control Methods

No hormones involved here, just a sperm roadblock. These Stork Insurance methods create a physical barrier or an environment that prevents sperm from reaching the egg, making it difficult for the Stork to deliver an unexpected package. The good news, non-hormonal birth control methods won’t interfere with a natural menstrual cycle; the bad news, expect a visit from the Stork as soon as you stop using them.
