Symptoms

Often there are no symptoms.
Symptoms for women may include abnormal vaginal discharge, burning sensation when urinating, lower abdominal pain, low back pain, nausea, fever, and pain during intercourse or bleeding between periods.
Symptoms for men may include discharge from the penis, burning sensation while urinating, and burning or itching around the opening of the penis. Pain and swelling in the testicles is uncommon, but can occur.

How it’s Spread

Chlamydia can be spread during vaginal, anal, or oral sex.

It can also be passed from a mother to her baby during vaginal childbirth.

Treatment

Chlamydia is treated with antibiotics.
